I speed on occasion. Depends on where I'm at, what time it is, etc. that only applies when there aren't a lot of cars on the road though. I will go with the flow of traffic when there are enough cars around me to blend in while speeding.

I was going about 95 on 279 between Pittsburgh and Cranberry a few weeks ago around midnight, nobody on the road. During the day that same drive I had to stick to about 70 w/ traffic. It all depends on the situation.

Speed on occasion. I don't have much patience when it comes to long trips or traffic-filled areas so I tend to be more aggressive at times. I've tried to calm it down, but I've come to realize it's pretty boring to drive like an old man.

I usually drive among the fastest on the road. If someone else is going faster I follow them. I slow to 15MPH above the speed limit at known speed traps.

I chose speed on occassion. But I dont excessively speed. I'm the one going 5-10 miles over the limit. Not 20-30.

Edit: Forgot to add that i never speed in residential areas. Children/pets are too unpredictable.

I always drive five miles over the limit, except in residental 30 mph areas. I always obey the posted speeds in neighborhoods. Most times, on major streets, the flow of traffic is at least five miles over.

In Houston, we have some very big roads, and depending on the situation, I might go ten miles over. It all depends on the other traffic. If it's crowded, I won't try to speed through, but if everyone else is going that fast, I don't mind keeping up.

On freeways, it all depends on traffic. Posted speeds are 55-65. Most times, I go 70, unless it's crowded, in which case the posted speed works fine. In very light traffic, the highways usually move at anywhere from 70-80, so I'll at least keep the pace. Late at night, with no one around, I'll go 90, but if anyone else does enter the freeway, I respect their safety.

depends on if I am late or not. Usually 65mph (5 under) on the freeway and 5 over on side streets.

really??? I thought everyone in Detroit drove 20 over on the freeways???

At least thats the impression I got while I was over there. I had never been on a freeway where the flow of traffic was 100mph until I went over there.

It really depends on what car I'm driving:

Fiero: 10-20 over, depending on traffic.
Volvo: 5-10 over, depending on traffic.
1973 VW Bus: Bwahahahahah!!!

Yep, i'm the asshole that holds everyone up ;). Only in Detroit could you pass a cop going 85 and he wouldn't even blink, he's looking for the guys doing over 100mph. :D

LMAO at the VW Bus. The top speed of a stock 1600 1974 VW Beetle was 87MPH.

Speed all the time. Residential I usually do the speed limit or a little over. On the freeway I usually travel at 80-90MPH and if it is a long open stretch I kick it up to 114MPH, govern kicks in at 115MPH. :(

i dont ever speed through residential areas.
freeways or interstates, anywhere from 5-10mph over.
which really isnt worth it. you drive an hour you save 5 minutes.
might not be worth the 88 dollar ticket and the time it takes to get pulled over etc etc

I go a few miles an hour over, but not fast enough to get a ticket. It's honestly not worth the worrying for me... When I used to speed, every time I passed a cop I'd be looking in my mirrors to see if he turned around... now I don't worry, because I know I'm not going to get pulled over. At night I usually don't speed at all, too dangerous with deer and whatnot.

I go (mostly) at the speed of 90 km/h - around 55 mph. This is perfectly legal outside of cities and villages, but I mostly use it inside villages as well
Speeding over 90 km/h? Rarely, and not too much over it anyway

I drive above the post limit when weather and traffic conditions allow. Where I live and work, in the NYC metro area, it is not really safe to drive 55 mph. Doing the speed around here infuriates some drivers and they start driving like sharks in a feeding frenzy.

I speed 5+ limit, that's usually the buffer zone so you won't get pulled over.

However if there is a cop behind me I'll go 1+ or 2+ the speed limit.

I always do at least 15 over the speed limit. I can't let the raw power of my lowered, fart canned Civic go unused.

I once heard Lee Iacocca say in a commercial, "You either lead, follow, or get out of the way."

That perfectly sums up my attitude towards other drivers as I try to pass them. Yes, I speed all the time.
