Meh.

Eh... I don't think any of us ever makes as much of an impact as we'd like to think we do. Every time I think I've made an impact on someone's life, I'll step away for a few weeks or months and see how things change. More often than not the impact is minimal.

It's the same here. It's hard to make an impact, or to become known, same as anywhere, same as most jobs.

I've saved my important posts and thoughts, and those are the gems I'll keep with me. Everything else is just bits and bytes.

Cheers!
Nate

No R.I.P 5719 posts? 😀

For a second there I thought mrCide was the grand nagus but I remembered he changed his avatar. 😛

Sucks being a senior member, as you said, no one takes you seriously. 🙂

Gotta work on that.

do think people take me more seriously with my 20K posts?

You lost credibility with me during the "certifications devalue your degree" dicussion 😛

i'm telling you coming from a position of reviewing dozens of resumes a week, both myself and my peers aren't excited at all when we see someone with a B.S. in Computer Science putting on his resume that he has his A+ cert or Net+ or CCNP or whatever, I will be impressed though if you worked for Cisco writing sofwtare for high performance routers or something like that. Keep in mind this is applicable for Software Development positions, not tech support.

I would be happy. Life goes on, so will I. Who knows, maybe I'll spend more time around RL people, studying at the library instead of my apartment.

I call BS... 😉

😛 OKay, so I lied, I'll just find other forums to invade.

Rape and pillage, no?

my post count could be wiped out and that would be fine with me. in fact i'm a little freaked that i will be a loser... i mean lifer tomorrow.

Heh I think its funny how caught up people get in gaining posts that many times when I start a subject in a different forum (ATOT who cares?) I can tell that about 50% of the posts are just to make a comment but dont really provide anything to the topic. .02

If it was just my postcount/status/account that was deleted, then I wouldn't be annoyed. However, if they delete all my POSTS, then I would be annoyed. Mainly because most of my posts are in the DC forum, and a LOT of them are stats threads and advice, and it's nice to have a record of all that stuff.

If i wasn't banned (ie the account was just deleted), I would be annoyed at losing my username, as I've been using it online for years, but I wouldn't kick & scream, i'd probably just move on.

Confused

I'd be apathetic because I'd like to think I am defined not by the quantity of my posts, but by the quality of them (which ok, may not be much....but still...). 🙂
