It also has the highest ground-clearance in its class from what I understand.

kyguy, did you check out the trailtalk forums I linked in the last thread?

Yes I did, thanks a bunch, it was damn helpful!

What's your budget?
You sure about that?
I thought it was the Honda Passport that was a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo.

You are correct.

Honda Passport = Isuzu Rodeo

Nissan Pathfinder is an entity all by itself.

I would buy none of the above. If I had to choose I would go with the honda/isuzu. Preferably the Honda just for the name and warranty.

Wasn't that at least two choices in the poll? :)

Heh yeah... no kidding.

The Honda Passport is even made in the same plant as the Rodeo. It was Honda's only true SUV until the Pilot came out this year. And no, CRVs don't count as an SUV in this thread's context. IMO, neither do those monsters like Excursions and Expeditions. ;)

Psst... again, don't forget the 10-year powertrain warranty Isuzu offers. :)

I see alot of people saying Pathfinder. Must not be that hot, or we would not have a black 2001 LE, with Bose, mooroof and only 5,000 miles sitting on the lot, priced about $3000 below average retail blue book for over 90 days. :Q

I like the bigger ones, and would like to have an Excursion Powerstroke Diesel. I drive a 2001 Mountaineer AWD, 5.0L. Excursion now has a $5000 rebate on 2001 model year!

well the rodeo and the passport are the same vehicle if i remember correctly. i dont know much about it, as i've only rode in a 96 one, but they did have that flipping over thing, if i was going to get a honda suv, i'd probably get the pilot though.

my dad had a 2000 4runner sr5. personally i thought it was a pile of crap, it had a really harsh suspension and its turning radius was just horrible. he sold it, and bought a 2001 acura mdx, which is a superior vehicle in just about everything. especially turning radius. Trying to park that 4 runner was horrible.

nissan i dont know, i voted for it just because i figured i'd like it better than the 4runner. i have an altima, and well nissan puts some pretty nice engines in their cars, and the vq power plant is in the pathfinder. the only thing i dont like about nissan and have noticed about my nissan as well, is that the interiors arent that great, like the all the little plastic things are much more likely to break (i have had to replace, a radio knob, visor clip, door handle, plastic wood thing is kinda broken now)... i guess thats a minor annoyance.

None of the above.
Get the Nissan Xterra or the Ford Expedition.

4Runner if you have to go with one of your options.

The Escape is a cool vehicle, and many a would be Honda CRV buyer has fallen prey to it's charms. :D

If I HAD to get an SUV, I'd look at the GMC Envoy and the Chevy Trailblazer.
