When you go to college you learn there is no such thing as race...

but when you apply for a job you sobered up really fast!

 
People are still holding on to race even though this forum is about as raceless as one can get because no can see or hear anyone.

This i'm not so sure about, There are many biological differences, there are however no differences that would make one superior than the other on a global, moral, religious, or humanistic standoint. If you do subscribe to the evolutionary theory you are obligated to believe that the races (as popularily defined) are better suited for the environment in which they occur, and as such are superior in those environments, thus accounting for the majority representation in those areas.
 
White. I suppose I might have a small bit of something else since I have a little French in me, but you wouldn't be able to tell. That makes me Irish/coonass, I suppose.



Wait, I must have misread the poll. I thought he was asking what race we were, not what we thought about him asking what race we were. I'm sorry.

A Native American woman once told me that if a person gets burned by being out into the sun they are in the wrong place, for example people of European descent who live in the Amerians.

I've heard that logic as well. Of course, humans have even developed the means to live in outer space, thus nature isn't quite as constraining as it once was

chill out man! Do be so uptight. We can't take ourselves so damn seriously. I have one grandparent who is black, the other 3 are white, and guess what, I'm black as midnight!

but i dont understand a couple people on this board who say they are black but have a white guy as an icon. Personally, since im white, i wouldnt have a black guy as the icon beside my name. its a little weird.
