I like not having to learn new interfaces and I like being able to constantly reuse my power accessories. I have a charger in my bedroom, hallway, living room, kitchen, car and office

I prefer "flip" models because I don't like to have to lock my keypad to prevent dialing numbers while in my pocket... also it keeps the part of the phone that touchs my face a bit cleaner.

I have a flip, and it'll probably be a cold day in hell before I change form factors. My first phone was an open face Nokia phone, and I hated it. For that matter, I hate Nokia in general, but that one made me hate "bar" phones as well. :p

I <3 my flip phone, for the same reason as Captante. Not hearing "hello, hello, who is this?" from your pocket, ftw. Also, my phone is awsomely durable. My mom dropped it out the car window in a parking lot, and it chipped away a piece of the asphalt, with no mark on the phone itself.

I used to have a bar which was fine but when I got my flip I liked it much better. Didn't have to lock the keypad.

Flip phones also feel like a phone instead of having the mic against your cheek.

i just got the motorola e815 (flip).. pretty awesome phone.. before that it was the samsung a670 (flip), then before that the moto v60 (flip), then before that it was the nokia 5150 (bar) or whatever.. the one that everyone and their mom's had.. it was definately strange to go from the nokia to the moto.. i agree though, it's nice to stick to one interface.. i went from moto which was good to samsung which was alright, but very different, back to moto.. i gotta relearn everything..

that was a big drawback for me too. I wore out the menu button on my first 6010 because of the lock-unlock issue.

I have both... A Nokia 7610 and a Motorola i870. I love the Nokia, the moto/nextel is a festering turd. I'm not sure what I expected thoough as motorola can't seem to make a decent phone for anything... :D

lg 6100 flip phone

makes me wonder about some new phone i saw on tv the other day thats supposed to be very "tough"

ive dropped this thing onto concrete and tile floors more often than i can count, the front lcd screen has a crack in the cover, and alot of the silver paint is worn off. ive been rough with it, and havent had a *single* problem with the thing.
