Poll: What percentage of people need their wisdom teeth pulled?

Do you still have your wisdom teeth? I put 21 as the age just to make sure that everone's had ample time to deal with this issue. If anyone has a something by some dentist's association or something, that'd be cool too.

dude change your survey. I'm under 25 and have had all my wisdom teeth pulled. I've actually had 9 pulled... they kept fusing to my jaw... it was not fun 🙁 Then I had braces for 3 years...

Now I have a sexy smile 😀 lol

im 20, i need to have em pulled, they're growing in all crooked and stuff, doesnt hurt, but one of em is at a 15-20 degree angle 🙁

I had them pulled when I was 17. My Mom assisted the Dentist during the extraction, so I think that *really* needed to have them out. I don't think my Mother would subject me to that without reason.

No, not gonig to change it, cause every one of the 12-18 year old will vote for "under 25 - haven't had them removed" and it will throw off the accuracy of the poll.

I was 19 and I was a year overdue to have them pulled according to the dental surgeon.. change your survey dude..

I remember reading the statistics in college, but I'll be darned if I remember the numbers. Not everyone even have wisdom teeth, some only have two upper, or two lower, but not both.

lol! You've never taken statistics in college, have you? I could probably just make up numbers, and they'd be as accurate as an online poll.

had them pulled and cut out when i was 15. the top ones had to be cut and the bottom ones had emerged enough to be pulled. the extraction actually didn't suck. they just gave me a lot of gas (note to self: get some of that for home use) and 6 novacaine shots. after i was numbed up, the procedure began and 5 minutes later, all the teeth were gone and another 15 minutes later, i was on my way home. if the sights and sounds don't bother you, stay awake; getting put under will be a waste of time. bled like a stuck pig for the rest of the afternoon though.

what's the point of this poll anyway?

I had mine out when I was 15, before they even started coming in. They just put me under and the next thing I remember I was at home in my bed, got up spat the gauze out and I was fine, no biggie... barely remember it.

Why does this topic come up so much around here?

Edit: Gauze is spelled with a "z." 🙂
