<<i do nothing but chat and surf
my powerhouse machine is useless
what a waste of money
but hey at least i run everything fast >>

Almost sounds like me :D

Running Win98 with every available upgrade from the MS web site. Almost never crashes. I'd still be using DOS if it were possibe. Never been a windows or MS fan but when everything you want to run and all the business you want to do amost requires it, what can you do?

How many people today would have their computers hidden in a closet if not for windows so in that way I guess it was a good thing for the masses.

95, and No. Its missing too many features like USB, etc.

But since I won't pirate 98 and it costs $100 for the upgrade I'm still in 95.

I've finally got it stable at least.

HP-UX
various Linux distros
NT 4
Windows 95
Windows 98

I prefer Unix/Linux but need to use the MS ones sometimes.

NT4 SP6A, been running since Feb this year flawlessly (my workstation). I run 2K at home and it's just as stable, but a huge hog. NT4 uses very little memory. I heard from a Net.Engineer at the local hospital about this old netware file server they had that was forgotten about in a broom closet for like 13 years with no trouble with it at all over those 13 years. They found it while migrating to NT4 :) . Heck, that's real stability, but not a stable company :)
