currently running AMD systems. At the time i built them they were the best value for a performance system. I will always go for the best value on high performance in a desktop. If intel puts a better performing solution out there with better value i would use that as well.

My box:

Dual TBird 1.2's

My parent's box:

Dual Celeron 366's

My girlfriend's box:

P3 800

I have no particular bias towards either, but my TBirds are pretty damn fast.

I must resist the urge to grab two 2000+'s when they come out, especially considering I just spent $600 on a 17" LCD from Dell.

Viper GTS

Dual Celerons at 500Mhz
Celeron at 450Mhz
K6-2 500Mhz
K6-2 350Mhz
K6-2+ 450Mhz
K6-3 400Mhz
WinChip2 200
2 - Cyrix MediaGX 180Mhz

Lets see for my house that's

4 - AMD
2 - Intel
2 - Cyrix
1 - IDT

I guess the AMD's have it!!!

My Computer: AMD Duron
Brother1: Intel P3
Brother2: AMD Duron
Parents: Intel Celeron
Laptop: Intel Pentium MMX

AMD K6-2 500 home
XP 1600+ home
XP 1900+ work
Pentium 200 home
P3 - 550 work
G4 Dual 450 work
G4 500 home

But AMD is my processor of choice

Four Intel Pentium 3 CPUs, distributed across my 3 comps (one is a dualie).

I'm really indifferent on the whole issue. I've been using Intel CPUs since my first comp (P 120), but my next comp will have an AMD processor, if for no other reason then that they're so cheap.

2 AMD Rigs, 1 Intel Rig.

1. My Rig: 1.4GHz Athlon T-bird @ 1.55GHz.

2. Bro's Rig: 1.4GHz Athlon T-bird + nForce 420-D.

3. Parent's Rig: 450MHz PIII Dell Dimension Desktop.

Mine WOULD be a P4 if:

#1. They dropped the price of a P4 considerably (~20-25%)
#2. They unlocked the multiplier

AMD meets both of these requirements, BUT they have rather poor chipset support.
