We have a Select Comfort air bed and it's awesome. Great that I can taylor it to exactly how firm or soft I want it to be.

Pillow Top with support sides so that when you roll over towards the edge the mattress doesnt lean and you wind up rolling off

I bought it in 1997-98 and it still feels new.

Says who? That's like saying no one should pay over some arbitrary number for a PC, or car.

It's all relative, $1000 to someone, might be a drop in the bucket to one, and a fortune to another.

i didnt think it would make much of a difference, but it was noticeable. even for a cheap topper.
