POLL: What kind of driver are you?

Strikes me there are two kind of drivers in the world.

When there is construction ahead and the right lane is closed, a line starts to form in the left lane.
Most drivers take their place in the left lane behind others who were there before them.
Other drivers speed down the right lane passing all the suckers waiting and expect someone to let them in at the front of the line. (and someone always does)

So which type are you?

If someone did this to you in the grocery store check out line, you would be FUMING. So why would you even consider doing it behind the wheel?
Put someone in a car and suddenly all societal customs go out the window.

If I see someone waiting their turn to merge, I let them in. However, if they are trying to beat everyone, I stop at nothing to not let them infront of me...

If I'm annoyed enough at those that jam in... I move my car over enough to block them when I'm in line.

If it's a simple merge no problem unless I'm in a extreme hurry, which is rare.

I get over as soon as I can. People who zip all the way up and then expect to be let in can go f*ck themselves.

I wait my proper place in line, and aggressively keep out those who didn't learn back in kindergarten that taking cuts isn't cool.

Works for me.

I always try to know where I'm going so I can be in the correct lane when needed. I hate trying to merge.

I hate people who don't understand merging -- ESPECIALLY those who insist on driving up the shoulder or median the entire length and try to cut in at the last minute. I make very sure that they don't get in, at least nowhere near me.

Exactly! And I get really pissed off if some slow ass driver leaves a space for them to get in.

Heh. It never fails. In these polls where there's an "antagonistic" or "wrong" answer, the asswads who are guilty NEVER show themselves. :)

i'm a cutter, but what pisses me off is the smacktards that will drive down the shoulder of the highway to get around during construction.

I get over as soon as I can. Sometimes it is not possible to get over immediately though. I do drive slower and give people room to move in front of me when I can.

I am usually a courteous driver and I usually wait in line, but sometimes you need to cut in.

But am I the guy who sees that the 2 lane road is merging to one for construction, and while everyone
else is merging into one, I drive up to where the 2 lanes actually become one, and try to force myself in.
while everyone merged a mile back.

No I am not that guy. And I don't let that guy in either.

I slow down and roll slowly until someone lets me in. I hate it when some assclown zooms down to the end of the lane. One time, a Tahoe was in front of me, on the other lane, and the lanes merged. The dumbass had plenty of time to get over, because there were signs set up way back and there were no cars on my lane. Instead he drove down to the end of his damn lane. I was so disgusted by the Tahoe dude's stupidity that I didn't let him in, which is probably not a good idea in Texas, where everyone carries a gun.

if its construction ahead and the lane is sill open then ill go for it. you dont have to merge until the lane ends. the traffic just gets backed up further if you go single file. i dont , however, zoom down the shoulder or try to cut in line on right hand turn lanes waiting at a light.

Its those ppl who are in the closing lane cutting their way up closer that are causing the traffic jam.. i dont let ppl in that purposely do that to cut in.. but if its a lot of traffic and they cant get into the open lane, then ill let them in.
