my vision is like -8.75/-9.25. :Q

i wear hard contact lenses to slow down the rate my eyes get worse.

mine is like.. -.5,-.5 (or.. +.5,+.5.. I really don't know.. the one that means I can't focus on anything I can reach anymore because I'm over 40), with a quarter fraction of astigmatism correction in one eye this go.. it's a really small thing, sometimes it gets corrected, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes one eye, sometimes the other, sometimes both, sometimes neither.. causing it to appear to come and go, although I'm sure it really doesn't.

I wear bifocals with no correction for distance in the top.. because it's so much easier to just keep the glasses on than it is to have to keep finding them when I need to see something I can reach, and I don't have to take them off to see something farther away (or walk)! and.. with bifocals, I can drive and see the road and how fast I'm going both. I love my bifocals.. the first week was hazardous because I kept walking down one more stair than was there, but once my brain got retrained, it's been wonderful (and I haven't had to hunt for my glasses once!).

20/40 uncorrected

Better than 20/5 corrected. When they asked what was the lowest line I could read on the chart I read the address & copyright info at the bottom and the eye doctors had to walk up to the chart to confirm it.

I wear glasses now because I got too lazy to clean contacts. I should just get disposables one of these days. If I was somewhere I had to drive regularly still I would go back to contacts for the peripheral vision.

-3.50 for my left eye and -3.75 for my right eye. Currently wearing hard lenses, but when I can afford it, LASIK here I come.

Holy shat! I thought I was bad at -6.5. 😱 Doc said it should pretty much stabilize soon though thankfully.

-1.75 for the right and -2.25 for the left. I am seriously thinking about that LASIK with the Wavefront technology. That Wavefront stuff seems like the way to go. I still kinda freak that with my luck, I'd be one of the small percentage that ends up worse off. Soft contacts are okay, but they still are annoying and take away some personal freedoms.

-6.5 is about my vision in my left eye. My right eye is slight better... or was it the opposite way, I forget.

I'm very mildly far sighted. I have no corrective lenses and can focus on everything perfectly including books without eye strain so when I say mild i mean it!

-7.75/-7.25, switched from hard gas perms to soft lenses last year (much more comfortable). I also have glasses I wear from time to time.

Holy WTF. I thought I was bad at -5.25 or so for each eye.

BTW, SWScorch, your sig is wrong. It's:

I have KC in both eyes, with extensive scarring on my right cornea.

Without contacts I am unable to identify faces from more than ~15 feet away.

With specialized contacts I can see around 20/25 - 20/30 at best.
