You call yourself a console gamer? You also forgot the SEGA CDX, the SEGA Master System, the Neo-Geo AES, the Neo-Geo CD, and many more too numerous to mention. :disgust:

Why didn't he mention them? maybe because they were "too numerous to mentions"
SNES version of Mortal Kombat had sweat instead of blood... And they try to tell me Nintendo isn't for kiddies? SWEAT!!! WTF IS THAT?? Genesis version of Madden, NBA Jam were also better, and Sonic could kick those lame plumbers' asses any day.
But I did enjoy my NES a lot... Probably because I was a kid back then.
NeoGeo was an elite rich boy system. I'll never forget walking into babbages and seeing the $150$200 games (32MB carts were hella expensive during them days)

What do you expect for games that are not half-assed ports of arcade games, but TRUE arcade games that you can play at home? I own a Neo-Geo home console now and am going to be getting another Neo-Geo arcade cab soon.

Even the most recent Neo-Geo games were $250. As of fall 2001, after 23 years in business, they are shutting down
Dear All NEOGEO fans/customers,
It is with deepest grief that In the Autumn of 2001,
SNK will close the company history in its business.
It was all of your favor and encouragement which made our passion running
to make better games for SNK fans.
We'd like to take this opportunity to thank and everyone of you
for your continuous help and assistance rendered to SNK since its inocorporation in Japan July in 1978.
Without your support, SNK Corporaton would not have been possible throughout 23 yers of operation.
With all our heart-felt gratitude, thank you once again !

I still own all of these games on cartridge and a SNES >>
Exactly
Although I do think that Secret of Mana was the best SNES game ever. Chrono Trigger comes second.
Has anybody played Earthbound? That game was crazy.
snes, I remember thinking that donkey kong country looked AMAZING when it came out. we used to have like 10 people in my room when street fighter came out playing a knockout tourney style for hours. I was the best of course. and mortal kombat was awesome too.
What about the Coleco Vision or Intellivision? How about the Atari 5200 or 7800? Where is the Sega Saturn, the Atari Jaguar, the Neo Geo, the Oddessy or even Pong?
I picked Genesis, because everyone knows it had the better versions of the sports games(between it and the SNES).
I can remember many a day arguing with my friend that the Genesis' sports games were just so much better. The SNES seemed to stutter and slow down in the NHL/NBA series. The Genesis was pure processing power, baby!
