Wow, amazing how little immaturity people gain even after going through four years of undergrad.

"Well my GPA was such and such but I still make more than all my friends." I've seen that at least three times already. I sure hope I don't work with people who act like children when I'm older like some of you.

With that said, EE major, and I MIGHT squeak out a 3.something this semester, or maybe I'll get a 2.9 or 2.8.
I don't see too many posts boasting about making more than others with a higher gpa. I see that there are some posts discussing it, but no one really bragging.
The only one who had anything like that to say is JLGatsby, and we all know he's full of
sh!t anyway.

Immaturity? Do you mean maturity? College is one of the last places to expect maturity to be gained from. People don't change too much as time goes on, so you will work with people like that. When the discussion shifts to money, egos will ALWAYS flare, there is no avoiding that.

I believe I had a 2.7 when I finished.
Oops, yeah, maturity, heh.

Guess I'm a kiddy, too, at least when it comes to English.

Depends on which college...
St Bonaventure: 4.0
Buff State: 4.0
Alfred U 4.0 in my computer science minor :)
Univ Buffalo (lets not talk about it :) ) I pretty much quit: education student teaching my grad class? wtf? Only a few grad classes there; new distance learning program, waste of time.
University of Pittsburgh: Stupid A- and B+ ruined it.

How do you guys get 3.7+ in your major but still end up around 3.0 cumulative? I majored in engineering like many of you guys here and I thought the courses outside my major were cake and it wasn't like I devoted most of my time to them either.

I'm not mocking you guys but just baffled at the overall outcome.

I don't really get the "major/non-major" QPA thing at all. I only have ONE class that's not a part of my major.

You guys must be damn smart or go to some easy schools because among the 30-40 engineers I see the grades of here, it looks like only a SMALL handful will be anywhere close to a 4.0. You prepare and prepare but ridiculous test problems prevent the vast majority from seeing anything higher than a B+ on most exams. Most of us will be happy with a 3.0.
