POLL: what is THE summer fruit, strawberries or watermelon?

my gf had a little argument over which is the better summer fruit, either strawberries or watermelons. i said strawberries. i wonder what ATers think.

Actually, if you read Jerboy's posts, you'll see that he's the local expert on EVERYTHING.

Watermelon is good but not as good as a nice strawberry patch. The watermelon makes it hard to roll around and do certain positions. They also have very prickly leaf and vines. Strawberries patches you can roll around and squish anything you want and get to eat it when your done, too!

Watermelons are semi ok for doggie style though. 🙂

No. Believe it or not, a watermellon is actually classified as a nut.

watermelon, when i lived w/ my mother, she would come home every so often from the store and cut off the end, give me a spoon and i'd sit on the front step and eat up 🙂
 
Watermelon is definitely the summer fruit. Strawberries are a springtime fruit. They are typically done and harvested before the end of May.
