I usually take naproxen because it seems to last longer than ibuprofen but both ibuprofen and naproxen do a very good job

Ibuprofen works best for me, mostly headaches and muscle aches. Naproxen didn't help me much but I hear it's a better choice for chronic rather than acute pain (such as tension headaches) due to its longer lasting effects.
