I have an TB 900 on A7V(standard not A7V133)
512MB RAM PC133(Taiwan, no-name or so)

So... I would like to know your opinion...
What of the following two configurations will
run faster:
PC133 3-3-3 or PC100 2-2-2 (regarding memory of course <g>)

I know, I could test it and see what is faster, but i was
thinking that somebody already did something like this and
may want to share his/her experience with me.

Also, I would consider to buy a better processor.
Does it pay? I'm a Quake 3 addict beside my day work
as a developer.

Thank you.

The latency reduction doesn't off-set the increase in memory speed as far as I have seen. Definitely go with the 133MHz in my opinion.

yes definately the pc 133, cas 2 increases the speed about 5%. also see if you can get it to run in 4 way interleave and in turbo mode while doing cas 3. That should help performance a bit.

133 will be faster. Especially if you can get 1 or 2 of those CAS settings at 2... Have you tried?

There is really no need for a CPU higher than what you have, besides bragging rights. 900 Mhz will be very fast for a while.

If you need more speed than that, just overlock it to 1 ghz or so.

Just my opinion.
