winamp. Media Player had some probs with playing a track in VBR.

And I've got a little question about it:

I MP3'd a CD using VBR and the times for each track are showing up wrong. For example, the song time was 2:34 but it shows up on Winamp as 18:35. WTF? And then some of the songs show a bit rate of 14H. Again, WTF? Thanks.

i use winamp with a plugin so that my ir live!drive remote with it. it kicks ass. got nice logitech soundman xtrusio dsr-100 speakers.

Winamp and I also use the MAD Winamp Decoder for superior sound quality. Quite a noticeable improvement over winamp's standard mp3 decoder.

I ahve W2K on this computer, and I've been using Windows Media Player, Rio Audio manager, and Realplayer. I never found one I really like or dislike, I just play them with whatever. What's so good about Winamp? Does it sound any better? Does anything else matter? Because I just play the song and then minimize it, or make a playlist and minimize it and go about my business. So, what am I missing out on? Is it just a cool thing to use winamp, or what?

media player, it uses more memory yes but i dont care. Im not seeing any peformance hit.

Not sure if winamp has the truebass or WOW sound features, but media player does and thats why i like it and because it plays all my media files
