PE/Gym Class in school is great- It serves as a proving ground- Stand your ground or prove your abilities and nobody messes with you (like Prison). If you are slow or lazy then you end up being picked last.
In 4th & 5th grade I hated the presidential fitness test - I was slow in the mile run and couldn't do that many chin-ups.
That gave me the incentive to exercise so I could later kick arse in chin-ups, rope-climbing, push-ups etc.....

And don't forget....Dodgeball is the best sport ever!
Word. I LIVED for dodgeball. Nothing like a game where you get to throw things as hard as you can at the kids you don't like. :D

LOL! OMG, you have no idea how often I was the target of that kind of aggression. Being a cross eyed girl who wins spelling bees/writing contests does NOT make one popular with the other little girls. I moved next door to a girl (Ok, woman now) who used to torment me in PE and she actually came over and apologised to me when she realized who I was.

Life is strange.
I had some serious anger management issues as a kid that would surface during dodgeball games. I was teased a LOT for being kind of weird, so this was my one chance per week for payback via violence. Odds are, I was going after the snotty "popular" kids who gave me crap the rest of the week, not kids like you (since I was one). :D
