Timely subject for me as we're moving 🙂.

My fiancee and I have been paying $400/month the past 3+ years in a flat, but moving into a complex (that used to be a resort) that has everything: fireplace, dishwasher, loft bedroom, access to pools (indoor/outdoor), etc. for $650/month.

We've been living in the city (read: 'hood) but time to move to the county (read: 'burbs).

And those prices are for the two of us combined (yup, rent's cheap here). Each place is about 900 sq feet, both 1 BDR.

I live with my parents and pay rent, insurance, and other expenses. Plus I help out by doing work. Ends up being on the low end of that scale. Probably 250-300 bucks

$840 a month...Plano, TX
soon to change locations tho...hopefully i'll be able to find something for less but with the accomodations i desire 🙂

Me and my brother rent a place in a semi-welfare/white trash place (though there's some mexicans trouble makers, a black family <with all of their friends living there, too> and nice young Tongan couple, and of course me and my brother, both Hawaiians). We pay $585 a month for a two-bedroom place, pre-utilities. It's nice enough, though, seperate heating for each room. Large kitchen, nice sized rooms and family room...not too bad...

I live in Orem UT, near BYU, but prices aren;t too bad...

Currently paying $420 / mo with heat & hot water included for a one bedroom (kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom) third floor apartment. None of the bills are split, I pay everything (my fiance lives with me).

Moving (this month, yay!) into a third floor, three bedroom apartment for $600 / mo with nothing included. Rent will be split two ways ($300 after split for me).

tell me about it. we pay the same if not more ... and get the crap a$$ ugliest apartments in the world. my friend has to live in her living room because one wall in her room is growing some type of mold on it that her landlord has to get off. also add the conveniences of the weird people on the street asking for change ... and the happy happy guy standing on a bucket at the end of telegraph (he's kinda funny tho).

<< $600 a month for my 1 bedroom apmt w/ 4 roomates in NYC...geez...and we think we found a steal... >>

Damn 5 people in a 1 BR apt in NYC? That must be pretty crowded! Actually I was reading in the NY Times that rent has dropped like a rock in NYC now, a lot of landlords are having a tough time renting out places.

I live in Jersey and I'm paying $1275 for a 1BR (no utilities included either!), it's a nice complex, ~2 years old, but still way too much. I miss living in Delaware, property is pretty cheap down there. Hopefully I'll be able to buy a place in the next year or so.

650/month +350 utilities for a 3 bedroom 1500sqf apt. downtown in a small college town in southern ohio. I have the place to myself so I pay the whole bill.

I pay $270

That's my share of a 2 Bed/2 Bath apartment in Huntsville, AL. That includes NOTHING except a sour look from the grounds keeper every once in a while.

My share of bills:
Cable (TV & Broadband) $36
Water: $8
Electricity: $30-45 depending on how much A/C or heat is needed
Telephone: $12
