I wonder if there's any correlation here...

Update: It looks like my theory has been proven, at least among people in OT. That theory, by the way, is that a higher percentage of AMD users use non-Windows OS's than Intel users.

Maybe I should post this in the OS forum and see if the results are different there...

Better price/performance ratio. You can get an XP2500 for much less than a P4 1.8A, and a 64FX for less than a P4EE.
