Well I'll vote AMD, but it's really half a Vote for AMD half a vote for Via.

AMD761 north, Via 686B south.

We had a bit of a fight for a week there, until I discovered that the Win2k Beta TV-Wonder drivers hate DX7 for some reason, once I installed DX8 all was smooth sailing.

Since then my board has been very good to me. It's my first non-Asus board in over 4 years to.

Had a P5A, K7M and an i430TX Asus board that I can't remember the model # on.

Amd 761 on an Asus A7M266. Even with the Via southbridge I've had zero problems in Win98Se and Win2k.
Scope!

Via kt133 on my main rig and the old reliable 440bx on my celly backup rig... man that bx just won't die 🙂

I had an AMD Irongate for about three weeks, most worthless pos I have ever owned!
