no, i don't need a desktop replacement. something in can take to a site and do misc network stuff, read ebooks, do photoshop / illustrator / golive work, use to ghost remote machines, etc. i need one with quite a bit of battery life, a dvd/cdrw, decent screen, good keyboard. weight isn't nearly as important as battery life. RELIABILITY is a major factor. seems like ibm is what all have had good times with.
