Everyone dies, that doesn't bother me. Now drowning or burning alive does unsettle me though.

I really don't see any point in dwelling on it. It's going to happen and it's going to happen in whatever manner it occurs. Nothing I can do about it, so I just live my life.

Put simply: I don't care.

In the past I had a pretty cavalier attitude towards death. That changed in 2001 when I started having problems with my heart, I'm 32 by the way. From July 2001 through the first week of Jan 2002 I kept having these "episodes" where my heart would race and I would have difficulty breathing. Sometimes I would pass out, sometimes I just got really dizzy. It was usually associated with some pain in my chest and the first time it happened I thought I was having a heart attack. Really scary stuff. I had to be taken to the ER several times, had every test known to man run on my ticker over and over again. Well anyway....as all that was going on I really started thinking. Having a medical condition like that occur really causes you to think about death. There were times at night when I wondered if I would wake up the next morning. Needless to say I did a lot of thinking. In the end I decided that I didn't fear death, I don't even fear the pain that may or may not be associated with it. What really worries me about my own death would be how it affected the people that love me. What would it do to my parents, friends, family, etc, etc, etc..... It's not something I think about a lot these days, but from time to time I must admit that I still worry about the people closest to me. After all once I'm dead my pain is over, it's the ones left behind that are in agony.
