I used to get spanked with this one wooden spoon all the time. That ended the day my mom spanked me with it and the spoon broke, I turned around and started laughing at her, she got hella pissed and yelled for my dad, but I never got spanked after that day.

oh yeah. we always had a paddle on top of the fridge. i was spanke when i needed it up until the age of 16, when takin away driving privileges was more effective.

i have always spanked my children. one warning, and then the consequences. children dont understand reasoning, but they can understand fear. you just have to back it up. i havent had to spank my children in years.

I got spanked and swatted on the back of the head many a time, and deserved it . One time my dad did pick me up by my hair though.. that hurt just a bit. I was proly 22 or 23 before I stopped jumping everytime I heard the downstairs door slam shut
 
Yes i got spanked.

I think the last time i got spanked i was 7 or 8. My dad was working outside and had his circular saw out. He told me "Do no touch that" well being a cool power tool that makes a really cool sound i waited until he was at the far part of the back yard and i couldnt resist, he surely wouldn hear it. I reached down and pulled the trigger. Well my dad heard it and dropped his wood he just cut, turned around, i knew from the red glow in his eyes i was dead meat. I ran inside, my mom was washing dishes and latched onto her leg saying "save me, save me, save me" my dad came in and peeled me off my mom while my mom was yelling "what did little Citrix do???

The ass whoppen commenced and in between each swat he said. I,,, smack, Told you,, smack, not,, smack smack, to TOUCH,, SMACK! that! smack smack smack... Lots of crying and screaming from me....

I Never ever touched anything he told me not to touch again.

Edit.. I miss my dad, been gone for 7 months now.

Spanked up until first grade or so, when my parents divorced. After that, my mom--who'd never really been good at the whole spanking thing anyways--generally just yelled. But at that point, neither one of us (my brother nor I) really messed around enough to warrant a spanking anyways. Hell, we never even got grounded. I think my mom tried once with me, and it lasted all of maybe 30 minutes. But my parents both rock, so somehow I turned out alright.

Yes...and I think it was a good thing. I think that spanking (not BEATING) should make a comeback in the home, public and schools. I think that's why so many "young" people just don't care anymore.....timeout's just don't work (IMO).
 
I remember one time, after regaining consciousness, I told my Dad that he hits like Mom did. I'm still not sure what happened after that, it's all a blank mostly, but the body cast kept me out of school for almost 10 weeks.
 
I was, a good thing in some cases, though I don't think it needed to be done as often as it was.

Still haven't decided if I will spank my own kids, I guess so, but not like I was.
