Since I've bought my own house, I've decided to get another waterbed. How I've missed my nice, warm waterbed. What do you all prefer to sleep on?

Futon in my studio apt.
Always wanted to try a water bed but it's too much trouble at this point in time.

Waterbed, no aches in the morning. For some reason, my neck and back always hurt a little when sleeping on a regular matress.

Hmm...let me think: waterbeds are heated. Other beds are not.
I miss my waterbed :( (I sleep on a futon now, blah)

it sucks to have a gf and a waterbed...everytime she moves your ass goes for a ride. and not in a good way.

I don't know about modern waterbeds, but if you've ever boinked on one of the original versions, you wouldn't want one.

It's all about proper water fill and good rhythm, Russ ;) Works just fine.

I've had a waterbed for the past 12 years. I don't want to even think about any other type of bed! I love sliding into a heated bed. I never have a bad night's sleep on it. But, waveless is the only way to go. The wife and I just went from a queen sized to a king sized waterbed. The neighbors were giving away the bed frame, heater, nice headboard/bookcase, and 4 drawer pedestal. $150 for the bladder and liner, $30 for new waterbed sheets and $10 for a can of stain and wax and we have a nice comfy kig size bed!

See, now why would I want to pay $300+ for a mattress when I can pay 1/2 that price for a top of the line king sized waterbed mattress?

I used to have a waterbed for several years. After a while my back would feel like crap. I feel like I didn't have any form of support on my back, and one summer I couldn't even walk w/out taking one step and being in extremely crucial pain (Don't know if that was b/c of something I did, or b/c of the bed). However I do know that I prefer my matress much more even if it is half the size.

I live in a dorm, so just a plain old matress for me.

Although I have a friend with a 7' square waterbed that I've fallen asleep on a few times and it is so comfortable!!
