OK I eddited my info. He was in fact still mid way of doing his business. And he was a tall guy 6' 2" so he had a little knee-bending action going on.

You specifically said he finished at the same time and initiated conversation at the sink. I think you're just backpedalling because most people said you were stupid.

well i dont see a problem while you're at the sink, but while you're both at the urinal doing your business, it can be a bit odd. even weirder is when someone tried to talk to me while i was taking a dump, and he was taking a dump also in the stall next to me.

Only mutual man-grunts of acknowledgement are permissable, and even then only if one of you has to get out of the other's way for some reason.

ANything else is punishable by having your behaviour questioned in YA-ATOT-BET

Yea, let me back-pedal so I can not seem stupid on a forum.
I posted ASAP once I got back into the office because I was confused and fouled up some information. Besides, my short term memory is my weakest point to date; I usually have to ask my professors what to study for weeks in advance of a test so I can push it into my long term.

So excuse me if I didn't recall it correctly, but I had to correct myself when I remembered that he was bending his knees as I was at the sink

Edit-Hell, I have conversations while I'm at the urinal with other guys. I don't see what the big deal is. It's not like I'm peeking over at their naughty bits or anything.

I agree. Whats wrong with chatting with people while draining the vein?

Thraxen has issues.

You need to grow up and realize that it is only a small handful of wierdo geeks that have this strange fear of the damn bathroom. Grow a pair and stop being a puss.

talking in the bathroom is for women who are powdering their nose.

men should do their buisness silently and get out of there.

There is nothing wrong with talking at the sink. WTF is the matter with you??

OMG the janitor talked to you at the sink after you took a dump!! OMG....OMG ....OMG....
Dude, that is absurd. Who gives a f^ck? He was being friendly

People's social ineptitude never fails to amaze me

You are waaay too uptight. Loosen your panties a notch or two.

The only time it is ever acceptable to talk in the bathroom, is if you are waiting in line, or have both completed all actual activities and are washing/drying your hands.

Meh, I'd prefer not to have someone talk to me while they're performing bodily functions. That means no conversations with me while you (or I) are in the process of: urination/defecation/copulation. Unless we're both in stalls, in which case the rule is waived.

So you'll talk to another guy while you're both taking a cr@p, but you don't want to talk to your partner while you're copulating?

I swear, more real business gets taken care of in the men's room at work than in any meeting room. Seriously.

Anyway, the janitor probably talks every chance he can get. How many people look for the janitor, just to strike up a conversation.

I'm squarely in the "Don't Fvcking Talk to Me While One or Both of Us Has His Dick in His Hand" camp. Goes double if one of us has his pants around his ankles (and that won't be me, since I don't do that in public restrooms. Ever.)

Talking at the sink is fine.
