HS sucks for sooo many people, its basically the culmination of "popularity"/other bullshit

college = not that at all

college is a definite amazing experience.

i'm going to assume that you're dorming, because if you're not, this stuff might not apply. also, it helps to be going to a college out of town for this stuff to apply to you as well -- but whatever it is, you'll make the most of it.

reasons why i loved college:
1. meeting new people. for me, this meant meeting a diverse group of people. i went to a private parochial school and the town i grew up in wasn't exactly mixed.
2. a new place. for me, this also meant moving from florida to new york city. that says it all.
3. independence. freedom. doing things on your own.
4. growth. if you're not living at home, this is the best time for you to adequately bridge that gap between being a high schooler, a dependent of your parents or whoever, to being completely on your own thereafter (if that's your path). you have peers to grow with, and they're having similar issues too.

i got to a tech school so i have a slight interest in all my classes

but its a tech school so its a sausage fest

there's good and bad

College was SO much better. You get to meet a ton of interesting people and have lots more fun. It is a LOT more work though.

College by far... In college I got a chance to pick my own friends. In high school there were so many cliques that I really didn't fit in too well.

Right now, High School sucks. My grades are like a big rollercoaster. Sometimes I do well sometimes I don't do well...

What's the college guy's advice to upcoming college students?

if you ahve a better time in HS somethign is terribly wrong

college is like high school but with none of the bad parts and 1000 times more good parts

except for the bigger workload but who the hell cares

I did more drugs in college, learned a LOT less, for a LOT more money. That's basically it. Highschool was awesome, fun classes, lots of friends to hang out with, when I was a senior it was just a fun year, I worked all through highschool and even then it was with friends at a job I enjoyed.

College though, new friends every year, lost touch with people from HS, I was paying $10K+ a year to go there, and take classes that I already knew and it was boring as hell. Only thing I got worthwhile was a piece of paper that says that I r smart.
