if you think bagpipes are annoying, you've never heard them played properly or by anyone with skill. they can be one of the most beautiful, stirring, and haunting instruments I have ever heard.
 
They were playing at the England vs USA match on Saturday, weren't they? Not they weren't drowned out by the incessant blowing of vuvuzelas by the crowd.
 
bagpipes is a whole bunch of vuvuzela fed by a windbag. The pitch is a lot higher than the vuvuzela thus a lot more annoying. Fuck just thinking about the bagpipe sound is giving me a headache.

There is a reason why it is usually a solo unless you are in a marching band.
