I wish Axel would have taken the filler tracks out of both and merged all of the awesome songs into one Use Your Illusion album.

Surprisimg, I would've thought UYI1 would be a clear winner. Live And Let Die, November Rain, Dust & Bones, Don't Cry, etc. are all on the first album.

What filler songs? They are both great albums from top to botton. IMO

Exactly. He seems to like what is only on the radio...

Ok, now I feel really, really old.

That makes two of us. I must have been 24 or 25 when that came out. :(

The only GnR songs that the only rock raido station in my area plays are on Appetite for Destruction.

and I did not even mention which songs I like on them, so how did you draw that conclusion?

Well it's not too bad. UYI came out around the same time that CD's first outsold the cassette. Might have even been that same year, if I remember correctly UYI was one of the reasons for that.

I wore out at least 2 copies of UYI I/II on cassettes.

Tough choice, I still listen to those 2 CDs more than anything else.

I:
[*]Don't Cry, November Rain, The Garden, Live and Let Die, Dust N' Bones
[*]5 good songs
[*]3 great songs

II:
[*]Civil War, 14 Years, Yesterdays, Knockin' On Heaven's Door, So Fine, Estranged, Don't Cry
[*]7 good songs
[*]3 great songs

So I guess, by the numbers, II eaks out a win.

I saw GNR play live with Metallica in 1992 @ Texas Stadium. It was sweet. The pyrotechnics on "Live and Let Die" were awesome. I was 22 at the time.

I liked:

..Diamonds and fast cars - money to burn, I got my head in the clouds, I got these thoughts to churn....When the ****** hit the fan, it was all I could stand yeah..Im a frequent flier!

but Coma was the best song on either album:

..maybe we'd be better off without you anyway! Got a one way ticket on your last chance ride, got a one way ticket to your suicide, got a one a ticket and theres no way out alive!

Only time I saw the Gunners was when they opened for Aerosmith.
