My gf broke her mobile phone yesterday, she loves Ericsson, she had one and she'd like a new one. I keep telling her Nokia is better.
Which brand would you choose ?

It sorta depends on who your carrier is, what region you're in, and what features you're looking for. The Nokia phones are pretty nice, and all things being equal that's what I'd get. Take a peek at the StarTac Digitals though, they're pretty nice too :)

Mitsubishi sells some really good phones.
Take the G75 for example:

No silly games, or frills, just a phone that works. -Well.
This thing will stay on standby for 5 days before the battery runs dry.

Most newer phones can't go 2 days.
-That's not really progress, now is it ?

But I guess it depends of if you want:
A telephone ?
Or a web surfing, video game, music making, pager, and portable TV that has some telephone capability ?

Just have a good idea of what you want before the sales person starts in on ya. ;)

For your consideration,

Personally, I'd let her get whichever one she prefers. I've spent a lot of time in the past convincing relatives, friends, etc... to buy the better technology and it never works out. If they buy what I recommend, as it was not what they had thier heart set on, any problems or quirks or dislikes are "your fault".

I agree with Optimus. Part of a person's satisfaction with a product is how comfortable they are in using it.

She said ericsson? Get Ericsson. Unless she's not planning on fvcking you, or you're going to be using her phone all the time, it really is up to her.
