They're usually found on "newbie" web pages, although I am guilty of having put them up before, but it was a funny one I swear! It was some guy banging his head on his keyboard saying I'll get around to updating the page.

in all cases underconstruction gifs are annoying.

they are pointless

arent webpages supposed to always be under construction

isnt that what UPDATING is called ...

you dont see a bunch of annoying crap on anand telling you that hes going to update .. (and i am thankfull for that)

there is no point to them...

if you dont have any usefull content (or pictures of pirates, or porn, or anything that might be funny) do not make a page at all, theres too much crap like that wasting bandwidth in this world

I dont like them, I usually just type it up there that the particular page or site is being renovated.
