**POLL** Tuna

What kind of tuna do you like?

Please also add what you like to mix it with, ie: Mayo or Miracle Whip

As for me I usually got regular tuna in water.. but I just made up a couple cans of albacore tuna in water, and it's pretty damn good. Nice and chunky.

I use miracle whip. Miracle whip pwns mayonnaise!

i don't even know which tuna i like, it comes in the same cans i've always known what they look like and i don't even know what type it is. i like it with mayo for sure!

Solid white albacore in water.

Mix in some honey mustard, some sweet relish, and a spoonful or two of miracle whip.

Yum!

For tuna sandwiches it's regular Starkist in water, I drain the water in the can, refill the can with water and drain it again.

Then I mix it with miracle whip, sweet pickles, sweet onions, and some diced boiled egg. Put it on toasted sourdough and you are now in sandwich heaven. 😛

My children ask me to make their tuna sandwiches.

Sure grilled rare is the best but for everyday I like the pouch now. You lose the can taste. I mix with mayo, orange ginger pepper seasoning, lemon and dill seasoning, maybe a shot of miracle whip and relish. Mix it and let it set for hours........

Is it lunchtime yet?😀

Well this wasn't an option, but fresh sushi grade tuna (spicy tuna rolls anyone?) is def my favorite, but barring that, I like to open a can of tuna in water, drain it, and put olive oil on it as an after-workout snack.

What song is that again?

I like it in oil, providing the oil is drained sufficiently....although spring water or brine is healthier.

Albacore, in the bag, water.
I like it in oil but it's not worth the extra money.

I mix it with miracle whip, lemon pepper, celery, onion.

Same here. Blech.

I'm still not sure the difference between tuna and albacore. It seems all the big brands say albacore on them somewhere... but i haven't checked in a while so maybe I missed one that's 'tuna' and not albacore? I assumed they were the same thing though. I s'pose a google search would reveal the answer but I'd rather waste 2mins posting about it than searching. 😉

Stay tuned for an edit or two.

Q: WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN REGULAR TUNA AND ALBACORE TUNA?
A: WE CALLED BUMBLE BEE SEAFOODS AND Star-Kist FOR YOUR ANSWER. THE COMPANIES SAY ALBACORE TUNA IS CONSIDERED TO BE THE PREMIUM TUNA SPECIES. IT HAS A MILD FLAVOR AND CREAMY WHITE COLOR. TUNA SUCH AS CHUNK LIGHT HAS A DARKER COLOR AND IT'S MADE FROM SKIPJACK, YELLOW FIN OR BLUE FIN TUNA.
