Trackpoint. I cannot stand touchpads and I'm very disappointed that the majority of lappies have them. 🙁

I hate the nipples. My HP has one and I'm forever knocking the little condom off.

The T41's at work (I'll be getting one in the next week or so) have both. Talk about annoying! There's 2 sets of buttons too! Sheesh.

Me too. Who offers them as options, so far my IBM is the only brand I've seen that has them?

Dell has them on top end desktop replacement models, XPS, 9100 and 8600 (used to offer them on their more portable models, but not anymore). Toshiba offers them on some models too.

Trackpoint. It's the lesser of two evils. Touchpads are just too inconsistent in their accuracy in the various notebooks I've used with them. Their easier for quick operation for very short periods of time, but not for extended use. Fortunately, my old Armada M700 has a trackpoint.

But I use the Logitech Cordless Notebook Mouse for my laptop. Uses a device about the same size as a USB thumbnail drive as the antenna and the mouse itself is small enough to easily fit in any bag, but not SO small (like other notebook mice) that it's unusable. Using it right now actually.
