I'm currently using Mouseman Wheel.
I'm tired of moving the mouse around and my desk is pretty cluttered.
I never use trackball before, just playing with them at Best Buy.
Any opinion ? does it works well in regular computing and gaming ?

EDIT===> I can also put my trackball on my gut and it works just the same.:)

you mean take out the trackball and roll it anywhere you want ?? that would be cool.
I'll get that if that's possible.

I use both. At work where I have a small desk, and uncomfortable ergonomics, I use a trackball. It's just better because I can move it into any position that is comfortable and still have "mousing" ability. I wouldn't have that luxury if I had to have ample room to track a mouse.

At home though, I prefer an optical mouse. Games just aren't as comfortable with a trackball as they are with a mouse. You have a greater margin of error with a mouse than you do with a trackball. By this, I mean that a movement on a trackball has greater effect on the cursor than a movement on a mouse. Of course, all of these movements can be tweaked, but generally speaking, my logitech trackman marble is generally "faster" than my logitech optical mouse.

It's just a comfort thing I guess.

Trackballs all the way! :)

But they do take some getting used to though. I like them cause I never run out of mouse pad space and they move so smooth and precisely. But once you get used to them you never go back! :)

No. I mean lean back in the chair put my feet up with the trackball sitting on my stomach.

I just switched to a trackball from a mouse. Was tired of cleaning the mouseball every 4 days. And I found a better deal on a Microsoft Intellipoint Optical Trackball than I ever will for an optical mouse.

So far I prefer the trackball, but it will take me a few days to get over pushing it around my desk!

I used to use a Logitech Trackman marble FX, it was nice. But then my wrist started getting uncomfortable.. so I switched back to mouse.

I have a Kensington expert mouse (big ball). It is definitely an acquired taste, but I can't use a regular mouse now.
