POLL: Top Tabs/Banner in the forums

We received some feedback from folks here that they preferred the tabs, since the feedback was limited to a select few, we decided to do a poll. Vote and we'll do whatever the poll says 🙂
 
I like the tabs because if I need to check out something such as a video card or a motherboard while I am in the forums, I don't have to click the Homepage link then click the appropriate tab.

Of course that's just my opinion, FWIW.


 
I like being able to go from Hot Deals to Anandtech.com to use the price engine. I know I could bookmark, but I like having access to the home page from the forums. Voted for option b.

Jason, don't get the wrong idea the new banner ROCKS, but I can see why people like the tabs too. I voted for no tabs too keep it the way it is, but the new tabs on the main site are smaller then the old and sleeker, I really like them so it doesn't matter either way.

yep, the only thing i didn't like about the old tabs was that they were too long (and ugly), i had to scroll over to see all of them.

i do like the new look but the tabs are very useful.
 
i think the top banner should be a link back to the home page
then add links to all the sections below the normal side bar (possibly collapsable/expandable to save space?)
 
Why not have it as a cookie-saved preference? Show tabbed menubar or not. Show tabbed menubar would make the tabs visible and remember for next time. Hide tabbed menubar would make it appear as it is today - just the Anandtech Forums logo linked back to www.anandtech.com.

This is the best suggestion. I prefer without the tabs and just the link to the home page, but I can see how the tabs would be useful to some.
