Calling for someone's car to be towed is petty. But the reason you called isn't. If there was a fire the fire fighter would of move it or smash in the windows to get to the fire hydrant anyways. Great job in becoming the neighborhood worst liked neighbor.

Yeah, sorry dude but it just looked like you wanted to do something "significant". If there was an actual fire in that time... the FD would have just throw the hose right through his 2 front windows in 2 seconds. (haw-haw).

Yes I have had my car towed. And if it was because someone called, I don't begrudge them that. I took a calculated risk and lost.

I had my car towed because of malfunction, but never because I was frickin stupid enough to park in front of a firehydrant

I did a few years ago. Parked overnight in a lot next to my apartment at school. My car and about 30 others got towed because there was never enough parking in the apartment's lots. That sucked. My car was in the impound about 45 minutes, but it still took $120 to get the effing thing out. Tow truck drivers/companies "prey" on college apartment complexes, since more often than not someone has to park illegally 10% of the time.

I've called the cops over nuisance complaints a few times over the last couple decades. Mostly noise complaints. Got my way about 50% of the time. I don't live in a situation where I'd ever have anybody towed, but I would have done the same thing you did there. Who the hell do those guys think they are? Ya think they'll do it again? So worth it!

Yes, once. I was pissed at myself thogh, whenever I get busted for doing something wrong, I can't complain - it's just the way I am It was in a poorly-labeled no parking zone.

Trust that my responses weren't correlated to that fact It's the general attitude that gets to me.
