After sleeping on it, and so many PM's I couldn't even respond to them all - Thank you for your support.

I never left TA, nor the forums - just a hiatus to sort out my feelings about things. Any team effort involves the active and voluntary participation of all members. This is paramount.

I maintain that we have not done the kind of job we need to do to reach, motivate, and communicate with our members. Please take a moment to do the poll - and let's see where the collective mind wants to go.

Again, thank you all very much for your kind words. I can see that I was mistaken, acted rashly - and to all of the members I offer a sincere apology.

Since the poll will only let me vote for one I will pick the one I like best, but post all of them here I would like to vote for:

TA should get aggressive before it's too late
We should do regular e-mailings to members
Anand should make a statement of support

If I could I would vote for all of these, but Im only allowed one selection in the poll.

Welcome back... don't take negative comments on these boards too seriously.

I'll reiterate that I am very much anti-spam. I don't think we should be emailing people, at least not very often - but it's a judgement call in each case. Messages on the board are OK, but I personally hate getting unsolicited mail from anyone except friends or from people asking questions, etc.
 
I agree with mindless 100% on his choices for the vote/poll, and I think Anand's getting behind the team on ALL of the projects would help immensely; I'm definitely not saying that the other two are any less important, but we should make sure that the core of &quot;Team Anandtech&quot; is solid before proceeding with the other ideas.

Too bad you can only vote for one choice, I like 2, 3, 5 &amp; 6. I would resurrect my contest thread, but after sinking to the bottom without even one comment, perhaps it should RIP 🙁.
 
Good to hear the news Dan! Although there has been contention over the email idea, TA must do something. We can't stand by and watch the DPC's totally destroy us. If there is no better alternative, we must try it.

This in no way means we should quit looking for better ideas.

Down with DPCs🙂

I missed one..

AT should post daily statistics everyday in this forum.
Stats will let everybody share the succes of the team and
this works as a snowball rolling down the hill. The snowball
will get bigger and bigger.
