The Zire is the $99 Palm. They look ok, but they aren't any better than a Vx. Just a little more stable is all.

I know what the Zire is. He was talking about a PDA that ran Linux. That is the Zaurus.

For those needing a PocketPC cheap: Dell 300mhz for $132, and there's a 10% off somewhere too. An excuse to spend more money! (you may need to get a separate USB link though, but many come with chargers).

Who says PocketPC has to be expensive and PalmOS has to be cheap?

I've always had Palm OS PDA..today I have a Treo 90, before that a Palm VX. But the last few days I've been thinking that the PalmOS might be dying. Since I develop software for handheld at works, i've noticed that the PalmOS is falling behind and PocketPC is great to develop for. So I may get an Axim in the next few months.
