The Zire is the $99 Palm. They look ok, but they aren't any better than a Vx. Just a little more stable is all.

I know what the Zire is. He was talking about a PDA that ran Linux. That is the Zaurus.

Started with a very old palm... the upgraded to another palm. Then Ipaq 3850... and now the Ipaq 1910. I have a feeling this one is going to last me awhile.

Zaurus (wife's)

PPC's owned & sold: Axim 400mhz, Toshiba e740, Toshiba e310, 3 diff IPAQ's...

I want to like the PPC's, but start using them & they start to crash, & I hock them on eBay... Maybe a couple more generations:(

I've always had Palm OS PDA..today I have a Treo 90, before that a Palm VX. But the last few days I've been thinking that the PalmOS might be dying. Since I develop software for handheld at works, i've noticed that the PalmOS is falling behind and PocketPC is great to develop for. So I may get an Axim in the next few months.
