Bad cornfield location != bad education.

Yes, correlation is NOT causation. Good for you! 😀

You are still 0-1 in Rock, Paper, Scissors though.

Now why'd you have to go and do a thing like that? Bringing up wounds from the past is not cool man! 🙁

totally different audiences: harry potter is a kids book that is just as entertaining for adults (books 4+, at least). the narnia books are really just kids books- so, SO fantastic when you're 8 or 9, but just too juvenile if you're much older than that.

Yes, when I read the Narnia series I didn't really like them, I thought they were okay. But I've read the Harry Potter series well over 8+ times. Good books-when I was in Middle School.

Ahem. I think they are fantastic books even still. Although I sure wish they'd stop remaking the movies for the first book and get on with it. The magician's nephew would make for an interesting movie, as would The Last Battle.

Narnia are simply just better books. I can still read the Narnia books and feel like I'm reading something special. The Harry Potter books are merely enjoyable reading, I don't feel anything special when reading them.

The Chronicles of Narnia, while more geared for children, has more depth because it is allegorical in nature, while Harry Potter is exactly how you read it. I like both series, but I find The Chronicles of Narnia also because it is more original than HP, which takes a lot from the LOTR series.

Narnia has a special place in my imagination that can't be topped. I used to dream of going to Narnia as a kid. Harry Potter really can't live up to that, mainly because I'm not a young impressionable kid anymore.

I read the Lioin/Witch/Wardrobe years amd ywars ago in grade school I think. Don't remember a single thing about it. I have never read any of the HP books though.

The Chronicles of Narnia was a good series.
But all in all, I like Harry Potter better. No hidden semblance of Christianity within it.

Narnia is better written, but it's overt religiosity makes it difficult to get through sometimes.

funny ive read through them all 3 or 4 times, first was in grade school last time was in college and i totally missed that overtly religious bit

You know, that is funny. Cause it's kind of staring in your face.
