Poll Support is growing for sending more troops to Iraq

Boy if only someone Only Had a decent Theory about How an overwhelming force of troops Increases the chance of success of any military operation......😉

People like Shinseki and McCain were calling for more troops from the very beginning but Rumsfeld ignored them.

Maybe if Bush had told Powell about the plan to invade Iraq before showing it to Prince Bandar the terrible he could have heard about the Powell doctrine. 😉

Well, as Woodward has noted, Powell did know about the plan but not the decision to follow through with the plan. Bandar knew the decision was made before Powell did.

Think about it. 130,000 troops (many are support the main force at that) making 25,000,000 behave.

You're implying all 25,000,000 are not law-abiding, peace-loving citizens.

You'd be ok to letting Iraq fall into a probable long-lasting civil war that might result in a Shiite-led country with a hatred of the U.S. on par with that of Ayatollah Khomeini? A country that could easily become a haven for Al Qaeda to grow immensely?

Red Dawn, watch the movie 'Red Dawn.' Realize we are the russians and the "insurgents" are the highschool students.

Well-said, Komrade. Did you make this up yourself, or read it on some fanatical left-wing blog?

The comparisons are obvious and have been made for a year now.

Conjur:

That will probably happen anyway. How many Zebras have you converted to checks? 🙂

There should be a sign at the Iraq border: "Ye Who Enter Here Abandon All Hope".

One of the big failings (and, admittedly, one of the strong suits) is Americans think ANYTHING can be done.

Well, for this job, we need magic and all we've got is bullets.
