Just wondering what yall think any any opinions...

I have the Klipsch Promedia v2-400's and ive heard differing opinions on if i should keep the port facing fowards or backwards.... Ive tried it both ways, but was wondering what ya'll think....

I'll take a picture of my setup in a few mins, just need to straighten up the room a second :)
Until then, I have the sub directly infront of me under my desk, its off the ground though due to the design of the desk....

Yep... pointing it in a corner would really make things shake... for a subwoofer like that though... id rather have it pointing forward in my case because my neighbors don't like shaking things too much.

One of my neighbors (bout 3 townhouses down) has like an 18" sub for his stereo system.... That thing is AMAZING... I can FEEL it all the way over here in my room.. :) Gotta love college towns

a 12" velodyne in a dorm hall really works some magic. we could here the thing in the shower, which happens to be at the other end of the hall. the concrete walls really helped that thing radiate

True - it is omni directional, but if you have it pointed into a corner or against a wall (like 3-4" away) it will act as a second ported chamber and add to the compression factor. (like a double-bandpass enclosure.)

Yeah but I think that only applies when deciding where to put the sub... since it is omnidirectional it doesn't matter... but directing the bass where it will reflect more will "amplify" the effect to an extent... that's why some subs are floor-firing.
