POLL- Space 1999 Old enough to remember it?

Barbara Bain = major yum! 🙂 The small, short-haired lady was pretty too. 🙂

Space Oddity (Natalie Merchant)

YES! Finally, someone else who remembers that show.
But I won't be buying it anytime soon. I need to buy one of those newfangled DVD thingees first.

Yup, I used to watch that. I was a young 'un (7-9 years old) when it was on, but I guess it wasn't past my bed time.

I don't remember her name but the red haired lady who could turn into creatures was good looking. 🙂

I thought it was a great show.

Loved that show, oddly i almost posted about it last week. I remember that i used to wonder what things would be like in 1999.

Ok another old fart here. I loved that show. Dam now I have another reason to get a DVD player.

Yes that chick that could shape change was hot.

Mmmmmm, yet more fodder to correctly educate the son on science fiction.....now just have to wait until B-5 is out on DVD. Son's reaction on seeing Apollo 13 was priceless. Now just have to drag his 5 year old behind down to KSC to see the real thing.....

Yes I remember 1999. In fact as a Christmas gift I received that long, white spacecraft complete with orange crewmembers! Like Isla, I was quite young.

Rudee

<< and Buck Rogers were some of my fav's growing up >>

I must also admit to having a crush on Erin Gray! 🙂

Yea, I watched it. 10 years after it was cancelled I saw a re-run and man it reeks of the 70's. I'd rather get Battlestar Galactica on DVD, but to each his/her own.

Space 1999, and UFO were terrific shows. Remember the odd looking cars they used in UFO, and those open knit shirts on the sub crews. Raise your hand if you were trying to get a peek at the ladies.

That lone big missile on the UFO space fighters was one hell of a phallic symbol. 🙂

I just used to drool over the lunar base ladies. However, nothing beats Diana Rigg in black vinyl. She could put my head in a leg lock anytime. 😛

The one 1999 episode that gave me nightmares was "St. George and the dragon". When that energy monster on the derelict station ate the very beautiful ladies and spat calcinated corpses at the beginning of the episode... That image still haunts me. Such beauty wasted... 🙁

If You Needed Somebody (Bad Company)

Space 1999, Battlestar Galactica, and Buck Rogers were some of my fav's growing up.
those plus UFO, Doctor Who and Blake 7 for me.

Made me the Geek i am today

"nothing beats Diana Rigg in black vinyl"

OMG, that's a vision I still carry near to my heart.

And yes I remember that monster too <shudder>

Anyone remember a show about telepaths. I think it was called 'The Champions' or something. I only saw one or two episodes, but it looked cool

OMG i almost forgot-

does anyone remember the 'Tomorrow People'??

A bunch of youths with special powers led by a Lava lamp on Steroids called 'Tim'.

Loved that show

Yep, I remember Space 1999. (And 1999 seemed so far off back then.) And as far as I'm concerned, Diana Rigg in anything (or not) is a hot image. 😀

Martin Landau and Barbara Bain together were much better in Mission Impossible, the tv series.

Space 1999 passed the time, however.
