Jam-packed public areas make me go postal.

A very nice new mall opened last month only a couple of miles from us, but neither my wife nor I has stepped inside . . . I'd hate to see it on Black Friday.

Black Friday + online shipping is my strategy.

RossMAN: My local TV news did a story that included GottaDeals!

As someone who lives in the shadow of the largest retail shopping mall in the US, I can tell you that you never go there between Friday night and Monday morning, or between November and January. I do all my shopping at small specialty stores. No crowds, and unique gifts.

My "stores" are 30 miles away so I have already loaded up on the stuff I will need for Christmas. The stores will be madhouses as we get closer to Christmas.

I will NOT be part of the problem, BUT I will take full advantage of the situation. Stores around here have extended hours during the holidays, and put extra staff on duty. If you wait till the end of the day, you can have the whole store to yourself, and NEVER wait in a line!
