99% of the time, you only attain Elite status if you have in some way stroked the collective Pole of Modular Pleasure enough to warrant them bestowing upon you the Most Highly Overrated Title of Titular Teasingness.

75% of the Mod Squad are Elites that have another account too. It ain't all it's cracked up to be.

BUT...if this is what your life hinges on, hey more power to ya.

Much as I'm sure he's a good guy, nobody on AnandTech who posts only in OT should ever get the Elite Member status.
 
his gaming threads are much more worthly of recognition, but that would require one to venture out of OT or FI to find.
