POLL: should TP dispense over or under?

Sheesh, every guy knows, you put the new roll on top of the toilet tank or on the floor. It's way too complicated to take that empty roll off the dispenser!

Either that or just have the roll sitting on the counter. Nothin like holding the roll sideways on a few fingers and pulling hard to watch the cat chase the yards of paper that you've just unleashed all over the bathroom.

My cat shreds the TP and pulls it all over the house, so we can't keep it on the roll. We have to hide it under the counter.

Isn't this a hemisphere thing?

If you live in the northern hemisphere, toilet paper dispense over the top... and if you live in the southern hemisphere, toilet paper comes from the bottom.

Oh well.. thats what my friend in NewZealand said...😛

Leaving the roll off the dispenser is NOT an option; not if you are married!

Anyways, no gender differences yet, seems as though both men and women perfer over the top.


I like under the bottom b/c it tears off easier, whereas my wife thinks over the top is 'prettier'.
 
Over the top. Except in our bathroom at the college apartment - the dispenser was placed almost directly behind the toilet, which was almost impossible to get to when sitting down without turning around and risking a smear effect between the cheeks........ok, that was gross, sorry 😱

Over the top for one major reason:

Everyone at one time or another gets their hands into something that isn't very pleasant while using the toilet. Imagine you have people at your house that used your toilet. These people could be careless friends, drunk neighbors, or tiny children. Now imagine that this person had one of those unfortunate hand soiling experiences. They reach for the TP to clean up - and you have it hanging under touching the wall behind it. The dirty hand must brush the wall to remove the TP from the roll - leaving brown, yellow, or possibly white residue behind. Now imagine you use the TP next...

Over the top is the only way to avoid this disgusting possibility.
