POLL: Should people ever enter a "joint venture"?

Just curious. It seems that some people believe in them while others find them to be a waste of time. I only find certain kinds of joint ventures to be useless.

general partnership?
Limited liability?

if i had the money and if i thought it the business was a good idea, i would join into an LLP.

Me and some of my friends went on a joint venture last night. It was awesome.


Seriously though, a joint venture is just that. Some of them will be time wasters, some will not.

This is like asking if it is a good idea to go on a date? I mean, is she hot? Got Money? Ugly? Dumb? If she isn't your match, dont get involved. If she seems like a match, dont jump in bed with her on the first night.....

Providing you have guidelines and in some cases...legal documents laid out then yeah.
