.... assuming both don't win the finals, they'll obviously be looking to make some changes, this is one of the possibilities.

Tony Parker is a young pg with lots of potential. Should they stick with him, hoping he'll improve and be good enough to win a championship?
Or sign Jason Kidd, a proven pg who's arguable the best pg in the league?

Tony is the man, and he'll only get better.
Kidd is too expensive, and that money needs to be spent on another big man.

In my humble "I'm from SA "opinion.

no, the lakers will never do that trade straight up, SA has to at least throw in ginobli since lakers dont have any role players anymore...

I am not a Laker's hater. I only chear against the favorite, especially when they're not my team. I've just never liked Shaq very much.

I sincerely hope the Laker's trade Kobe this year. That would be awesome if he were to go to SA...but I just don't see it happening. Even with a Malik Rose, Jinobli, and Tony Parker deal.

Rumor has it that SA will go for Oneal and JKidd....and focus on JKidd. When Timmmmmey was a rook, the twin towers were a force to be reconed with......but not anymore since D Robb has been strugglin health wise.

I'd like to see them win it this year, but I don't think they can beat LA if LA Plays like they did last night.

I really do hope LA trades Kobe. The Sports Guy wants to see it happen (lol)....so maybe LA will listen and realize that two marquee players on a team just doesn't work. Somebody has to be Jordan and somebody has to be Pippen. (Yah, I iknow.....that's why they already won 3....lol)

This was in jest I take it?

The lakers are two stars and nothing but role players.

Where did people come up with Kobe being traded? I can not possibly see this

3 titles and a good chance at a 4th? If it's not broke, don't fix it.

I think Shaq and Kobe already proved they can play together.

As for Kobe for Parker, Ginoobili, Rose, the kitchen sink.... That's the great thing about fantasy trades, it only has to work for your team.
If you really think LA would trade Kobe for anyone on the Spurs not named Tim Duncan, well, I don't know what to say.
The only reason LA would ever trade Kobe is if he was determined to leave or about to leave via free agency, and that isn't going to happen unless something crazy happpens.

Back on topic... True, Tony Parker is an up and coming point guard. But, Jason Kidd is a 1st Team Point Guard. If they can get him without giving up anything but money, they should do it. J. O'Neal is a great 4 as well, but that gives the Spurs two great players at 4, and neither one of them likes playing the 5. Unless a big name player goes to NJ, I think the Spurs will pick up Kidd, use the rest of their money on one of the free agent Clippers, and pick up one of the vets (Howard, Brown, Malone, Pippen) with their MLE.

Bwahahahah!!!!

You a Jazz fan? :p

Hell yes!!

...but that's not the reason. This disparity between conferences is ridiculous! There is no chance in HELL for the East to win a championship. They're top team couldn't beat any of the top 4-5 teams out of the West.

they would never do that PERIOD. Kobe is the future of the Lakers franchise, Shaq has 2 or 3 years left in him. They will never trade Kobe away.

Jason Kidd would be a great addition to the Mavs....and get rid of that good for nothing Canadian, Steve Nash.
Steve Nash is ok (at best), but he makes some stupid decisions at the most critial point of the games.
If the Mavs can get Jason Kidd (back), they would have a very solid chance of taking the championship next year.

Keep Parker and worry about getting another big man.
Robinson is out after this year and they will need another big man.

I only picked no, because I want Kidd to sign with the Nuggets, especially after the nugs get James or Melo.

I'd rather see them pick up Elton Brand or Jermaine O'neal (I think they're both unrestricted FA) - even if it forces Duncan to play center. Parker is good at point, but they will need to replace Robinson.

Are you kidding me? Nash is a great point guard, an All-Star. He may not have JKidd's impact, but he is by no means "good for nothing" or "ok at best". And what does his being Canadian have anything to do with it? What you don't like Nowitzki because he's German?

Puuuuuleeeeeeeeeeze, what a boneheaded post.
