Yeah...agreed. But the point is that I am moving and starting a new job in 3 months and don't anticipate having the time to rebuild until around next X-mas. If I upgrade at all it's now or wait 6 months (roughly).

If you aren't going to have the time to rebuild how are you even going to have the time to use the system?

It seems to me like you should just wait until Christmas.

 
Well a complete rebuild takes quite a while for me. Doing the research, picking out parts, setting aside a whole day to build, install Windows, tweak, install apps. Believe it or not I don't often get a whole day to blow like that.
