Poll: Should I try this?

This looks pretty interesting, but I'm not sure if I could complete it. I'm not trying to write a novel at the moment (it's on the back burner, again), and I'm already on my 4th "draft."

EDIT: Fixed title.

Oh man. 30 days does NOT leave a lot of WriProTi (writing procrastination time).

Though I guess 175 pages isn't a whole lot. I've always wanted to write a book, but I've never had a decent subject or plot.

Dude, there are posts about helpless people asking whether to kick out a two-timing chick out of their beds, and people actually give resonable sounding answers without ridicule (well, sometimes).

If you ask here, someone surely will answer your call!

I'm not sure if I would have time for this. The longest thing I've written (unfinished, still) lately was somewhere around 7,000 words. I guess it could make a decent head start though. 😛

It would take away from the time I spend ignoring my school work too...

I voted yes on the fact that, if you completed it, you'd be obliged to post it here and then I'd get to read it. I enjoy your posts, so chances are good that I'd like a novel.

I'm thinking about trying this too.

It's less than 2,000 words per day. 😛

I'm wondering if I can write up an outline ahead of time. It's a new thing I'm trying. 😛

I've tried using outlines. I never end up following them 🙁

I don't think you have to. 😛

I have trouble keeping my writing in one direction, so I thought an outline might help. Not sure yet though.

My writing never goes in one direction either, and I think outlines only turn the curves into rapid abrupt turns. For me anyway.

Writing like crazy, ignoring wild tangents in other directions, and then using some good old fashioned editing seems to work well. Especially for a short novel.

I write 4+ pages, read over it, think it's crap, and start over. 😕

Hasn't worked out too well. I'm thinking something like this kamikaze writing might keep my lack of confidence in check. 😛

Alright, if I can catch up on my school work by Nov. 1, I'll try this. Probably won't finish though...

Think positive n0cmonkey!

I'm in a positive mood tonight. Positive I need a shower. Positive I need some sleep. And positive about one or two other things.
