i don't know why, but the Dell DJ just doesn't look as appealing as the ipod IMO.

The best warranty I found was 40 bucks for 2 years of unconditional returns where they give you one off the shelf. Had to replace my old one that died and Apple was a bitch to me

Not when it's 11 days out of warranty :roll:

I don't expect a hand out, but I was treated like crap by their tech support and I let them have it . Also sent a letter to some people at corporate.

Dont get an IPOD!

Get an Iriver H120 (iHP-120). Alot better than the Ipod IMO. Although I might be biased because Apple and I ant too good of friends.

At least check out the Iriver though. I got it and love it. Its not as "trendy" as an Ipod, but has some more features.

i had the 20gb ipod (3rd gen) and i loved it. however, the mini ipod was so tempting i bought it when it came out. after about 2 weeks of my 20gb just sitting around (because my mini was getting all the use) i decided to sell it. do yourself a favor and get the mini ipod - you save yourself some money, and you get a sexy ipod that's lighter, smaller, and has an incredibly scratch resistant shell (they didn't lie about this!),

btw, i have about 16gigs of music. deciding what music to put on my ipod took some work initially, but i'm incredibly happy with it.

Yes. As much spite as I have for Apple, no other MP3 player compares. I've owned 3 others, and they all sucked or broke. I wish I had an iPod. Luckily, a friend of mine may be giving me his 5gb 1Gen when he gets a new one.

I am waay too lazy to really get into it, but before you buy an iPod, make sure to check out the iRiver iHP-120 (A quick google search for reviews should do the trick).

Best thing i own. Screw the imitations.

The fm transmitter is worthless. Yeah its nice cause it will save you from running another wire, but you will get sub-radio to radio quality sound. If you can hook up a cd changer to your car, you can hook it directly into your stereo and get *much* better sound. Not to mention some cities have to much interference.

Cases...I have the exo skin2, it has some really good features like the screen protector, but the belt clip is not very good(very loose in locked position and comes unlocked easily)....Its hard to find a case that will work and keep it looking like an ipod. I do like the exo skin more than any other.

I just bought a 15gb version but wanted a mini like crazy. Problem was that its backordered everywhere...for a good 6 fvcking weeks! I can't wait that long. I'm probaby gonna sell my 15gb when the minis come back in stock though.

Question: I bought from the apple website and I used the educational discount. Why would anyone NOT use the educational discount when all you have to do is click on the educational discount link. Does apple somehow check each order that is placed thru the ed. discount and make sure that the buyer is indeed a student/teacher/faculty?
